Hey PB...hope all is well with you.

Glad you had a great time at the Panic show and have a blast next week for Radiohead and The Crowes. I wish I were seeing the Crowes too! Please let me know what you think of their show.

Yes, I've seen Almost Famous and the Rings trilogy and thanks for the suggestions in case I hadn't. I remember watching the Twilight Zone a few times when I was a kid. That show scared the beejeesus out of me. I faintly recall one show where a painting of a graveyard came to life! You must get a lot more specialty channels cause I never see those old black and whites around. I enjoy watching Roseanne, Seinfeld, Frasier and Grace Under Fire because I missed a lot of those shows when they were first shown. Really enjoy Frasier--often makes me LOL!

Guess which tennis player I saw in person last week? Well that would be Roger Federer himself! We got to see Roger play a doubles match with Wawrinka and the match before that was a double with Andy Roddick and Mardy Fish. Unfortunately we could not be there for any of Roger's singles matches. Hopefully I'll get to see more of him in two years time when he plays TO again. It was a real treat to see him in person and it was good to dive into the whole experience of going to a live match so I'll be more informed and comfortable with the process the next time. What I noticed about Roger that does not translate very well on tv is his speed. He moves lightning quick and his serves are like rockets. It all seems so much faster in person.

Last Friday we went to Hippie Fest at Molson in TO and among other lumineries like Eric Burden and the Animals {loved hearing House of the Rising Sun live}, I saw the man I went to the show to hear: Jack Bruce!! If you haven't seen him you MUST!! This is the second time I've seen him. Everything the guy does is incredible: singing, bass playing, writing and he's obviously having a blast and connects with the audience. Loved hearing I Feel Free, Sittin On Top of the World, Sunshine of Your Love and White Room. He brought the house down and the crowd up on their feet. Truly, go see him if you get the chance. Is Hippie fest coming your way? BTW, we had second row center tix so we got a GREAT view!

This week I've got men's {Cincy} and women's tennis {Roger's Cup in Montreal} and Golf {as usual}. Hopefully there will be some good viewing somewhere in there!

I guess the Olympics are starting soon. Will you watch any of those competitions?

Enjoy your Football, PB and have a great weekend and week!

LM! What's up? Hope this post finds you and finds you well (sorry, just watched "Shawshank Redemption")! Congrats on the Roger viewing! I can totally understand your point about how the TV does no justice to his speed. The same can be said about witnessing NASCAR races in person. Hopefully, you'll get to see your boy again soon -- and even more informed and comfortable with the process! Hippie Fest sounds like a good time. "House of the Rising Sun" is one of my all-time favorite tunes, and I would love to see Jack Bruce live, as I never have had the opportunity. He's one of THE bass masters -- in addition to the tunes you listed, I'm a big fan of "SWABLR" and "Tales of Brave Ulysses." I'm not aware of the Hippie Fest coming to the 'Burgh, but with your suggestion, I will definitely investigate and keep my ears open! Good call on your TV viewing: "Seinfeld" and "Frasier" are classics. I'm also a huge "Simpsons" and "Family Guy" fan. As I type this, Sweet Melissa (my wife, with appropriate nickname) are watching "Shark Week" on the Discovery Channel. Did you ever check it out, LM? It's really cool and highly recommended. Also, you made me laugh out loud when you typed about the "Twilight Zone" episode -- that was one of the best! Do you remember the one where Telly Savalas was being threatened by a sadistic Chatty Cathy doll? Not too into the Olympic mindset yet, Lady M. How 'bout you? I'll probably watch it, but I've got my football game face on -- fantasy leagues start soon! Have a great rest o' the weekend -- and hope you enjoy your tennis and golf schedule! I'll give you the scoop on the Crowes show! PS: Sorry about the bland post -- I'm not sure why, but the emoticons aren't working! As a result, I'll close with an old-school version -- Smile

Apparently, the spacing between paragraphs isn't cooperating either, and a "smiley" emoticon magically appeared for me at the end. What the hell's going on around here, LM? Surprised
